(West Kent)

Rachel Scriven started her publishing career in 1993, working for an International business to business publishing company. She then set up Haywood Publishing in 1998 and successfully launched two trade directories for the Housewares and Flooring Industries. Both titles were sold by 2004 and then worked for the company who purchased her Housewares directory until October 2005. It was at this point that her career took a change in direction, with a passion for health and  nutrition she briefly worked and studied at the College of Naturopathic Medicine where she gained an insight into the fascinating world of  Complementary Therapies.
Shortly afterwards she made the decision to launch Healing Within, offering weightloss and nutritional advice for both sports and general wellbeing. Using her publishing skills and knowledge she produced a monthly newsletter which was emailed nationally and posted in her local area. Due to it's success she has taken the concept even further with the launch of ‘Wellbeing Magazine'
Rachel is a member of the BNI Heart of Kent Chapter for Tunbridge Wells and is currently the Education and Social Co Ordinator. BNI is an organization enabling local businesses to successfully network within their community.

Christine - Publisher Gwent

I worked for a large bank for many years before leaving two years ago to work at a printing company as Title Manager. It was while working for the printers that I came across Wellbeing Magazine and after a few months decided I would like to be involved in bringing Wellbeing to Wales .
For many years I have been participating in Young Enterprise as a business advisor and am now able to use my knowledge to help local businesses in the wellness industry.
I have been a member of Griffithstown Harriers for over 17 years and am passionate about off-road running, preferring to climb up mountains than pound the tarmac whenever possible. My favourite race has to be the Snowdon International Race which is 5 miles to the summit and my ambition is to participate in the Ben Nevis race one day.
Other hobbies include my allotment, which I have had for 11 years (before it became fashionable to have one) whilst not an expert by any means, we eat home grown vegetables with almost every meal. I would love to see local farmers back on the front line as suppliers of meat and vegetables, and support farmers markets in this area.
When I have 5 minutes to relax I will have a book in my hand as I read anything and everything.
